Partners in Worcester receiving their Premiership Rugby Community Award

The multi-award winning Homeless Rugby CIC was established to bring charities and the rugby community together to tackle challenges faced by people affected by homelessness. Following the successful launch of our first project with Worcester Warriors RUFC and Worcester YMCA, helping people develop the skills and relationship they need to support their journey on and off the pitch we have launched our second programme in Glasgow with NG2.

However there is still much work to do. In 2016 we want to develop a national programme of homeless rugby training and development initiatives across the UK, engaging professional and armature clubs along with homeless charities and the business community. We are planning to also bring our Worcester and Glasgow teams together in the first ever International Homeless Rugby match. With new teams across the UK, we are hoping to have more people registered with the Homeless Rugby programme and benefiting from a wide range of resources and connections the rugby family has to offer.

Our strategy will look to outline the organisations ambitious new objectives, along with our exciting new vision, mission statement, and the core values that we embody as we move towards achieving our goals.

We look forward to continuing our work with all our partners, existing and new, to help #TackleHomelessness and improve the lives of the most vulnerable and hidden in society.
